Fly Swats

Help! Why are over 100 flies in my house and more?

This is a serious question because I hate flies. They live of poo and are full of bacteria and they fly onto food and drinks in my house. Two days ago there were literally about 20 on the kitchen window. I opened the window and chased them away. It was then that I began to become conscious of the flies in my house. On that same day I spent half an hour swatting about 20 or so if them. I had to kill them because there were no longer so many just by the window. Then yesterday I swatted at least 50 more of them! There were about 5 in each room. Then today I was so annoyed I had to buy the batteries for my electric fly swatter which turned out to be ineffective but today i only killed about 20. Yesterday I am sure I killed them all and somehow there are more today flying again and my windows were all closed! I even cleared out my house binds to make sure they werent growing there as well! I just wasted hours killing them and as I am writing this I just killed another one on my computer screen because it was the only thing with a source of light in the room. Why the hell are they coming out of nowhere???????? Yesterday I couldnt see anymore flying at all yet there are plenty more today???????? its not house binds i meant house bins

  1. Lots of flies are the sign of a dead body :o
  2. It's the weather as it's humid they come inside and are attracted to light they usually hover around bulbs had the same problem they come and go but urn light off and most should disappear
  3. You've got some rotten meat somewhere in your house, because flies always lay their eggs in rotten meat. So you've got maggots and they're turning into flies. Get yourself a fly spray then hunt down the source.
  4. Do you have a fire place? It is possible that a bird went down the chimney and died there. Flies would fly down the smoke stack to put eggs on the corpse and try to fly out, gathering on the windows.
  5. Flies are pretty simple creatures. They seek out dead or rotting material (or anything that smells good). They will follow you into the house when you enter. (you may not even notice them) I would start with a very clean house. Since there were so many there the kitchen would be the likely place to start. But if they can see the light of the window they could also be there. Spilled liquid on a cloth or carpet might bring out something that was spilled there a long time ago. Rats and mice can die inside walls. But they are better left to desiccate there than to rip out many walls trying to find them. The numbers seem to high for casual entrance, but if there is something especially tasty outside where many would gather you will need to eliminate that source. The best way to find them is to walk slowly around your house and see if you attract any. Your fly swatter is the best killer in the house but there are many commercial sprays, both poisonous and green, at your local hardware store.
  6. I have the same problem. For the past two or three days we have flies in my elderly mothers room. Doors and windows are closed. They are only in her room. They seem much slower than normal flies and are on the windows. They are fairly easy to kill since they go so slowly, but it is pretty disgusting and they are a nuisance to my mom.
